The Challenge

This dental group built a new office to house its growing practice. New construction presented a number of challenges, including multiple ceiling heights throughout the space, unique power and water demands, and lighting solutions that had to meet both patient and practitioner requirements.

KEDbluestone Solution

Coordination with the architect was key in developing piping solutions to accommodate accessible slats and open ceiling types as well as power capacity for all equipment, pumps and lighting. We also added HVAC capacity to compensate for large areas of exterior glass and an all-glass foyer. In addition, we selected specialized lighting to identify the entrance to treatment rooms and, within each room, used a combination of dimmable work and offset lights bright enough for dentists and hygienists but glare-free for patients.
