Upgrading IWU’s Theatre Smoke Management System

We designed a new smoke management system that was both inexpensive and less labor intensive. We designed a specialized, one-hour rated safety fire curtain and an exhaust fan. In case of a stage fire, the curtain would lower and contain the fire, preventing the fire from spreading. Our design incorporated the specific code requirements for the space and provided a safer environment for the students and staff.
