The Challenge
The Iowa National Guard Readiness Center required a complex MEP/T design to support multiple functions, including training, administration, and equipment storage, while meeting strict military security and safety standards. Sustainability was a major focus, demanding integration of geothermal heating and cooling, photovoltaic systems, passive solar technology, and energy-efficient lighting. The project also needed to accommodate community use and comply with LEED Gold requirements, all within a tightly coordinated construction process.
