The Challenge

RMC, as a Critical Access Hospital, faced the need for a comprehensive expansion and modernization of its facilities to accommodate growing healthcare demands. The project required careful evaluation of existing infrastructure while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Key challenges included upgrading aging MEP systems and integrating new spaces within the hospital’s existing layout.

KEDbluestone Solution

To address these challenges, we helped develop a master plan that outlined a two-story addition featuring eighteen new inpatient Med-Surg beds, specialty clinic space, and an inviting main entrance. We implemented critical infrastructure upgrades, including a new hot water heating plant and an enhanced fire alarm system, ensuring reliability and efficiency. Additional projects, such as a chilled water plant upgrade and parking lot expansion, were executed concurrently to optimize the hospital’s overall capacity and service quality.
