Pleasant Hill Elementary School’s gymnasium was not air conditioned, resulting in uncomfortable temperatures during physical education classes and sporting events. The gym did have an existing heating system, but it was aging, not energy efficient, and beginning to have performance issues.
It was determined that the heating units needed to be replaced. With the replacement, the school decided to replace the heating-only units, with HVAC units that would also cool the space. We designed ductwork for the gym and made all other necessary adjustments to accommodate this upgrade. As a result, Pleasant Hill Elementary school now has a gym with reliable heating and cooling, providing a more comfortable space for their students, staff, and visitors.
