Converting a School’s Old Shop Space into a Modernized CTE Wing

To ensure comfortable temperatures, we provided a form of individual temperature control through VAVs and hot water reheat coils in each space. We converted several small rooms into new, sound-proof practice areas for the band. This was a large transition as these rooms were previously tool cribs, storage closets, and shop paint booths. We also created a welding room that would maintain the correct pressures and exhaust ventilation needed to weld in an indoor space. Additionally, the school now has new computer labs, a main band room, engineering spaces, a multi-purpose space, and a robotics testing field to ensure the proper amount of space and a more inviting environment for each activity.
