Designing a New Dialysis Treatment Center
THE CHALLENGE The Proctor Professional Building needed to renovate its existing basement space into a new dialysis treatment center. The ceiling height brought challenges, as
Junction City Shopping Center wanted to add an additional building in its plaza, to expand its available, leasable space offerings. The new building would house 5 leasable spaces, requiring all new electrical services, interior lighting, and exterior lighting. The spaces were not defined at the start of the project, so we needed to design them for unknown future uses.
Prior to the completion of our designs, several businesses signed leases for the spaces. We revised the designs for the specific needs of each business. We designed the systems for Childers Eatery, Pink Sugar Boutique, Studio B Hair Salon, and El Hacienda Mexican Restaurant. One of the spaces was left unoccupied, so without knowing what business would lease the space, we designed the system to be as accommodating as possible, to make it easy for a new tenant to fit-out the space. As a result, Junction City Shopping Center now has additional leasable space and expanded offerings, and several new businesses have a space to call home.
