An incubator that provides innovative simulation training for medical professionals, Jump fitted out the 3rd and 4th floors of its facility in a Google-like fashion. Collaborative workspaces, a modular floor plan, high-end technology and a desire to maintain LEED status all required flexibility in design and construction.
While our work typically is hidden behind ceilings and walls, that wasn’t the case in this open environment. We paid special attention to the aesthetics of heating, cooling, electrical and communication system placement and carefully selected the locations of electrical outlets, ductwork and other infrastructure to account for modular walls and furniture. We partnered with an audio-visual expert to select and install interactive video conference equipment and brought in an acoustical consultant to advise the design team on the best ways to avoid noise and privacy issues.
