Designing a New BigShots Golf Location in Texas

BigShots Golf - Fort Worth

The Challenge

BigShots Golf Fort Worth, Texas required special site considerations, as the property includes sloped land that wasn’t accounted for in the original building plans. The owner also had a specific design style in mind and requested that all utilities be hidden from public view to better accommodate it. Site lighting was a major concern with this location, as the property sits across from a residential area and beside a highway. Also, the lighting and control systems needed to be user-friendly enough for daily employee operation.

KEDbluestone Solution

The control systems were programmed simplistically for easy day-to-day operation. The site lighting was uniquely designed and strategically placed in order to light the facility without disturbing the neighboring residential and highway patrons. The state-of-the-art, mesh wireless control system allows for greater owner control of site lighting. To accommodate the varying size crowds in the dining room, a sophisticated roof top unit (RTU) was needed to adjust for large temperature variations. The building plans were flipped to accommodate the sloped land and all necessary adjustments to plumbing, electrical, and structural elements were made. All utlities were routed through ceiling and wall space to keep with the owner’s design and provide a next-level entertainment venue.
