The Challenge

The client wanted to bring a new Taco Bell location to the area. The new location needed to meet the specific franchise requirements for design, function, and layout of the space. There was difficulty fitting the necessary utilities in the allotted space. The location also needed to include an outdoor seating area, requiring specialized heating and lighting equipment and system extension.

KEDbluestone Solution

To better accommodate the outdoor seating area, we utilized natural gas piping and provided infrared heaters to condition the space. We overcame the spatial constraints by coordinating internally to ensure all utilities would fit in the given space. We followed the franchise design standards to ensure the new location would represent the brand well and meet corporate standards. As a result, the restaurant is now operational, bringing in revenue, and filling the gap in franchise coverage.
