Connect Transit is beginning to transition to battery powered buses. Their goal is to reduce the carbon footprint of the city buses. They requested our expertise to engineer a solar solution to charge the battery-powered buses.
We determined that solar panels would provide both an economical and energy-efficient charging solution for the batteries. We ensured the solar system would harness and store the power of the sun, thereby providing consistent charging regardless of current weather conditions. This solution allows for the transition to solar-powered buses, allowing citizens access to clean, green mobility and Connect Transit a reliable and economical alternative to diesel-fueled buses.
