Enhancing the Operating Environment for Surgeons & Patients

We replaced the existing air-handler with a new 30,000 cfm variable-volume unit with a quad supply fan arrangement and four variable frequency drives (VFDs). That set-up allows the hospital to modulate the fans to meet the strict temperature and humidity requirements of the surgical center, providing better efficiency and overall control. Our contractors worked around the clock over a three-day weekend to install the new unit so surgery could commence on schedule the following Monday morning.
