Renovating and Expanding Holy Family Catholic School

The Challenge
The existing gymnasium, restrooms, and locker rooms were inadequate to meet the school’s growing needs. There was a demand for a larger, multi-purpose room for assemblies, performances, and community events, as well as additional administrative and classroom space. The project required the demolition of half of the gymnasium, locker rooms, and the main school entrance, while integrating new spaces and infrastructure into the existing building.
KEDbluestone Solution
We provided comprehensive MEPT/FP design to address these challenges. New energy-efficient LED lighting, lighting controls, and HVAC units were specified for the expanded and renovated areas, including the addition of larger locker rooms and a storage mezzanine. We also expanded the fire alarm system, installed a grease interceptor, and designed fire protection services to support the entire school in the future, ensuring long-term functionality and safety.
