The Challenge

The district faced several connected challenges, including improving building security, expanding instructional space, and modernizing career and technical education facilities within an active K–12 campus. The needs assessment identified limited physical education space, undersized industrial technology and agricultural education shops, and the absence of dedicated classrooms for music and STEM programs. The project also needed to support hosting all athletic events on campus while staying within a fixed budget funded through reserves, grants, and debt certificates.

KEDbluestone Solution

As the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering firm, KEDbluestone delivered efficient and coordinated building systems that supported the district’s safety, space, and programmatic goals. Secure entry systems, modernized classrooms, expanded shop areas, and a flexible gymnasium were all supported by reliable and code-compliant MEP designs tailored to both daily instruction and after-hours activities. KEDbluestone worked closely with the design and construction team to integrate new systems into the existing campus with minimal disruption. Through thoughtful engineering and collaboration, the firm helped ensure the project was completed successfully and within budget.
