Designing a New Dialysis Treatment Center

Due to increasing patient volumes, we were asked to design a clinic in which doctors could grow their practices. The new building would need a variety of functional spaces: a sleep lab, a procedure room, a clean room, and a chemotherapy lab. Each of these areas required an individualized engineering plan to meet the suite’s unique requirements.
We coordinated with the architect to design a functional, comfortable, and elegant space. The MEP systems are high-end modular systems which can expand and change as the end users needs change. All systems are designed with spare capacity to serve future needs. The chemotherapy lab requires specific ventilation hoods and air handling units that keep the room properly pressurized. The roof penthouse provides a space for the units to be protected from the elements without intruding on the building envelope. State of the art boilers, chillers, a standby electrical generator, and LED lighting with occupancy and daylight savings controls ensure provider and patient comfort.
