The Sammons Financial Group project required a carefully orchestrated, multi-phase renovation with a primary focus on enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability throughout the building. One of the significant challenges was to incorporate advanced glazing and HVAC systems that could reduce energy consumption without compromising occupant comfort and functionality. The team also needed to optimize system sizing and reduce the building’s structural and operational loads while meeting the project’s environmental objectives.
We addressed these goals by implementing Sage Glass Harmony glazing, which automatically adjusts tint based on sunlight levels, significantly lowering solar heat gain and enabling a 100-ton reduction in HVAC capacity. This innovative design led to smaller HVAC equipment, reduced ductwork dimensions, and lowered electrical demands and structural requirements. Additional energy-efficient features, including energy recovery wheels in rooftop air handling units, high-efficiency hot water boilers, air-cooled chillers with economizers, and an adaptive lighting control system, maximized daylighting and further reduced the building’s overall energy consumption, supporting Sammons Financial Group’s sustainability objectives.
We will be glad to answer your questions.
We look forward to working with you.
