The outdated boilers heating Eastland Medical Plaza, an offsite medical office building, needed to be replaced before they failed. OSF St. Joseph wanted to reduce the number of boilers from four to two to gain space and minimize maintenance but didn’t want to risk losing heating capacity during the transition.
We sized the new system to operate efficiently on a single boiler— reducing maintenance time and expense—and added a second boiler for redundancy so there was no danger of heating loss in case of failure. The new system features better temperature controls for improved modulation and energy efficiency. We completed the work during the summer when there was little to no need for heat, ensuring the system was fully operational for the colder winter months.
