Expanding Workiva Corporate Headquarters

The Challenge
The expansion of WebFilings’ headquarters required constructing new office spaces and meeting rooms while maintaining operations in the existing facility, demanding a fast-track schedule and careful coordination. Integrating the new building systems with the ongoing Phase 1 facility added complexity, as the construction and design teams had to work around active operations. Additionally, adapting to evolving scope requirements on a rapidly changing project presented challenges in meeting deliverable deadlines.

We responded by designing certain building systems independently of the Phase 1 facility to minimize disruptions and ensure seamless integration. We also implemented a fast-paced approach, adapting quickly to evolving project requirements while consistently meeting all deadlines. For the mechanical, electrical, and technology systems, we incorporated a rooftop VAV systems with electric reheat, new 480V electric service with a backup generator and UPS, and extended the existing access control and CCTV systems, ensuring robust and reliable performance.
